TestersGuild is an Android app where apps test each other. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can undo. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your Google sign-in: your account email and name, to identify you.
- Your apps: the package name of each app you add and what we read about it from Google Play (tracks, releases, countries).
- Installed apps: which of your assigned cohort apps are installed on your phone, and the installer that placed them.
- Usage time: how long each assigned app was in the foreground each day, how many separate stretches made it up and the longest one. This comes from Android’s usage-access permission.
- Your feedback: the ratings and notes you write about other apps.
- Credit records: your stake, penalties and returns.
What we do not collect
Usage access reports time per app. We do not read what is on your screen, your messages, or apps that are not assigned to you.
Why
To check that installs are real and days of use happened, to run the credit rules, to review flagged patterns by hand, and to build the report each app owner receives. We do not sell your data.
Play Console access
Connecting Play Console is optional. We ask for one read-only permission, “View app information”, on the one app you add, for our service account. It cannot edit or publish. We do not store your Google sign-in token. You can remove access at any time in Play Console under Users and permissions.
Who sees what
Owners read feedback without the writer’s name. Reports contain no tester names.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it when you ask us to at [email protected], except records we need to explain a credit balance.
